Moseley is seeking a full-time Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Construction Contract Administrator (MEP CCA) to be an integral member of our team in our Richmond, VA office.
The MEP Construction Contract Administrator provides the leadership for the construction phase services on large commercial projects on behalf of Moseley for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering disciplines. This position serves as the point of contact for Moseley in concert with the Architectural Construction Contract Administrator for interaction with owners and contractors during the construction phase. The MEP CCA has the final control and responsibility for timeliness and quality of all engineering related construction phase administrative actions regardless of assistance provided by other employees or consultants. Experience:
High School Diploma required & 3+ years construction administration experience.
Mechanical, plumbing, and electrical design experience.
Responsibilities:
Communicate with all project participants, including but not limited to internal team members, clients, owners, and consultants in an effective and collaborative manner.
Conduct on-site visits to review contract document compliance, observe ongoing work, and provide progress reports.
Conduct progress meetings and prepare and distribute meeting minutes.
Review and become familiar with all project-related agreements.
Receive and respond to Requests for Information (RFI) and perform submittal reviews.
Review contractor applications for payment.
Maintain up to date project records.
Conduct Substantial Completion inspections and complete punch list inspections as necessary.
Timely contract modification preparation and cost proposal review.
Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills and Software Proficiencies:
Capable or working in a collaborative team environment to meet specific deadlines.
Diligence in monitoring progress, identifying potential problems and creating solutions as necessary.
Proficient knowledge of cost analysis and estimating.
Working knowledge of applicable codes/standards, and construction documentation.
Ability to navigate active project sites during the construction process with the ability to climb ladders, access scaffolding, and lift up to 25 lbs.
Valid driver's license required.
Procore, Bluebeam & Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred.
